These Gift Card Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are applicable to any use of a Dollar Shave Club (“DSC”) Gift Card (“Gift Card”), and are in addition and subject to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms that are not defined herein will have the same meaning given to them in the Terms of Service. By using a Gift Card, you agree, without limitation or qualification, to be bound by these Terms.
Gift Cards may only be redeemed by persons residing in the United States and the District of Columbia, and may only be used on www.dollarshaveclub.com (“Site”). Gift Cards are issued by a DSC affiliate, DSC Distribution, LLC, a California limited liability company.
For additional terms and conditions related to Gift Cards issued by Blackhawk Network, Inc., as indicated on the back of the respective Gift Card, visit HERE. Cards issued by Blackhawk and redeemed on DSC’s site shall also be subject to these Terms.
1. Gift Card Redemption and Balance
Gift Cards may only be redeemed toward the purchase of eligible Products and Memberships on the Site. Redemption of Gift Cards on the Site is subject to change in DSC’s sole discretion. We will collect Personal Information as part of your order and refer to customers that make on-demand purchases as Members.
You may be able to obtain your gift card balance by contacting DSC customer service at [email protected]. The Gift Card balance relayed to you may be an estimate only. In most cases, the balance is adjusted immediately when you make a purchase online, but there may be occasions when the updated balance is delayed for a period of time.
IN THE EVENT A GIFT CARD CODE IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, UNLESS SUCH NON-FUNCTIONALITY IS DUE TO THE GIFT CARD BEING FULLY REDEEMED, OUR SOLE LIABILITY SHALL BE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH GIFT CARD CODE.
2. Gift Card Use and Limitations
Each gift card has a unique code that is entered during checkout. Purchases using a Gift Card are deducted from the Gift Card balance. Its balance can be redeemed over multiple checkouts. Any unused balance will remain associated with the unique gift card code and must be explicitly applied to each order to be redeemed. If an order exceeds the amount of the Gift Card, the balance must be paid with an acceptable Payment Method.
Gift cards can be used for one-time purchases or for the first payment on a Subscription. Gift cards are not, however, an acceptable Payment Method for recurring payments. Gift Card information must be re-entered for each purchase.
Gift Cards are not returnable or refundable (whether for cash or otherwise), except where required by law. Please submit any request to [email protected].
To the fullest extent provided by applicable law, Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, or applied to any other account or Membership. Gift Cards cannot be combined with any other special or free offers (including free trials). Gift Cards do not expire and are not subject to any transaction fees.
Gift Cards may be used as personal or business gifts, but may not be used in connection with any marketing, advertising, or other promotional activities (including without limitation via websites, Internet advertisements, email, telemarketing, direct mail, newspaper and magazine advertisements, and radio and television broadcasts) unless you obtain DSC’s prior written approval.
Use of DSC’s name, logo, trade dress (including any image/likeness of the Gift Cards) or trademarks (or those of any of its subsidiaries or affiliates) in connection with the use of DSC Gift Cards is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, the use of Gift Cards in any manner that states or implies that any person, website, business, product, or service is endorsed or sponsored by, or otherwise affiliated with, DSC or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates is prohibited.
3. Risk of Loss
Title to the Gift Card and the risk of loss, destruction or deterioration pass to the purchaser upon our electronic transmission to the purchaser, recipient, or delivery to the carrier, whichever is first and/or applicable. DSC is not liable or responsible for any Gift Card that is lost, stolen, destroyed, or used without your permission. IN THE EVENT A GIFT CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, WILL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH GIFT CARD CODE. 4. Updates to the Terms
DSC may modify these Terms at any time, with or without notice, even though these changes may affect your ability to use the Gift Card, subject to our compliance with applicable laws. The most current version of these Terms will be available on the Site and will supersede all previous versions of these Terms.
